Silkline’s foot files offer different surfaces and handling: paired medium/coarse sides, wet/dry use, and replaceable abrasive pads. Choose the product that fits your routine and work conservatively.

- Check the exact file’s sides and use directions. The wooden Duo has a medium and coarse side; the Wet/Dry file specifies coarse side on dry skin and smooth side on wet skin.
- The plastic Silkline file lists 80 grit coarse and 180 grit medium and says it can be used wet or dry. The stainless-steel kit supplies replaceable 60, 80 and 120 grit pads; choose the surface your training and the manufacturer’s instructions support.
- Assess the feet first. Work only on suitable callused areas, use controlled pressure, and recheck the skin often. Stop before discomfort or irritation; do not try to remove all callus.
- Follow the exact tool’s cleaning, replacement and disposal directions between clients. Avoid applying salon filing to open, inflamed or infected skin; refer concerns outside your scope.
