Instructions & Downloads

  1. Prep the nail: Follow Akzentz’s directions for nail and cuticle prep. Gently remove surface shine with the specified 180-grit file.
  2. Cleanse: Remove dust, then cleanse with Prep & Wipe and a suitable lint-free wipe. Keep uncured gel off the skin throughout your service.
  3. Apply your Base: Follow the directions for the nail type and apply a thin coat. Akzentz specifies 30 seconds in an Akzentz LED light. Leave the sticky layer (inhibition layer) in place before your next step.
  4. Build your shape: Follow the Build instructions for the thin, uncured slip layer and apex placement. Let the product self-level, then cure as directed.
  5. Refine if needed: Shape or refine using the method in the Build instructions. You can finish Build clear or continue with the matching Luxio Color steps.
  6. Finish with your top coat: Follow its own directions. For Luxio Gloss, Akzentz specifies 30 seconds in an Akzentz LED light, followed by Prep & Wipe to remove the sticky layer.
  7. Check your lamp: These cure times apply to the Akzentz lamp and product instructions linked here. Another lamp or formula may need a different time, so check the exact instructions before you begin.
  8. Ready for removal? Follow the soak-off or filing directions for your exact product. If you use Soak Off, follow its directions and gently remove only the softened product.

Luxio® Build works with Luxio® Base, Luxio® Color, and Luxio® Gloss as part of a structured Luxio service.

Recommended Use

Step 1: Nail Preparation
Begin by thoroughly prepping the natural nails: cleanse with Akzéntz Prep & Wipe, push back or remove cuticles, and buff the nail plate removing all shine, we recommend a 180 grit file.

Step 2: Base Application
Apply a thin, even layer of Luxio® Base to the center of the nail, carefully pushing the brush up to the cuticle without touching it. With a light hand, smooth the base down towards the free edge, ensuring full coverage of the nail plate. Cure for 30 seconds.

Step 3: Build Application
Select your desired Luxio® Build Shade. Paint a thin layer across the entire nail plate - do not cure. Next, apply a bead of Luxio® Build to the center of the nail to create a strong apex and allow the product to self-level for a smooth and even surface. Using either the Luxio® brush (a liner brush) to gently make any adjustments before curing for 30 seconds in an Akzentz LED light.

Step 4: Shape and File (optional)
After curing, wipe the surface of the nails with a lint-free Gel Wipe moistened with Prep & Wipe solution. Shape and file the nails as desired using an Akzentz nail file/buffer. Once complete, wipe again with Prep & Wipe to remove any dust.

Step 5: Finish
Complete the service by applying Luxio® Gloss for a long lasting glossy finish. Cure for 30 seconds, then remove the sticky layer with Akzéntz Prep & Wipe. If a tack-free top gloss is preferred, use Akzéntz Shine-On. A matte effect can also be achieved by using Akzéntz Matte-On.
