Setting Up Your Daylight Slimline 3

Get the light where you need it for shaping, color application and detailed nail art. This Slimline 3 guide walks you through the clamp, lamp assembly, touch dimmer and everyday care. The original Daylight instructions are linked below, including the alternative screw-on mounting diagram.

Instructions & Downloads

  1. Secure the clamp. Fit it to the edge of a firm table or worktop. Check that the upper lamp mount is seated correctly on the clamp body before tightening.
  2. Assemble the lamp. Insert the arm into the clamp and tighten its locking screw. Push the LED shade into the arm until it is fully seated, following the assembly instructions.
  3. Connect the power. Use the plug-in power supply supplied with your lamp. Connect its jack to the lamp, then plug the adaptor into an electrical outlet.
  4. Use the touch dimmer. The first touch switches the lamp on at full brightness. Further touches select three lower levels; the next touch switches it off. Avoid looking directly at the LEDs.
  5. Find a useful working angle. Adjust the flexible joints so the light falls on the nail without your hands blocking it. Check the view from your normal seated position and readjust when the client's hand moves.
  6. Choose the mounting method for your desk. If an edge clamp won't suit, the supplied clamp can convert to a screw-on mount. Read the original instructions and Figure 1 before altering the mount or making holes in your table.
  7. Clean gently. Unplug the power supply first. Wipe with a soft damp cloth, then dry. Don't use spray cleaners or let liquid enter the housing. Leave cable replacement or internal repairs to a qualified person.
  8. Keep task lighting and gel curing separate. The Slimline 3 lights your work area. For curing, use the lamp and cure schedule specified by your gel manufacturer.
