Using Erica's Medium Refine Ball

The medium Refine Ball smooths lifted dead cuticle and blunt skin edges. Placement matters: Erica’s directs this bit onto the lifted cuticle, with no contact on the nail plate.

Instructions & Downloads

  1. Lift dead cuticle away from the nail plate first, using the technique you’ve been trained to perform.
  2. Gently trace the skin rim to exfoliate the lifted dead cuticle or soften blunt edges left by nippers. Keep the ball off the nail plate.
  3. Erica’s lists 10,000–20,000 RPM with its ATA file, depending on technique, file and bit condition. This package contains two medium bits.
  4. Clean reusable bits before the required disinfection or sterilization process. Check that the method is suitable for the bit material; our tool-care guide explains the steps. Disposable sanding bands must be discarded after use.

Description

The diamond Refine Ball Bit is ideal for removing dead cuticle or polishing away blunt cut edges created by nippers.

Once cuticle has been lifted up and off the nail plate, gently trace the rim with the bit. Depending on the skin type this can replace having to use cuticle nippers!

3.4 mm diameter sphere

Optimal use at 10,000-20,000 RPM with an Erica’s ATA electric file. RPM will vary depending on technique, e-file and newness of bit. Do not make contact on the nail with this bit.
