Instructions & Downloads

  1. Prep the nail: Follow Akzentz’s directions for nail and cuticle prep. Gently remove surface shine with the specified 180-grit file.
  2. Cleanse: Remove dust, then cleanse with Prep & Wipe and a suitable lint-free wipe. Keep uncured gel off the skin throughout your service.
  3. Apply your Base: Follow the directions for the nail type and apply a thin coat. Akzentz specifies 30 seconds in an Akzentz LED light. Leave the sticky layer (inhibition layer) in place before your next step.
  4. Plan your next step: Continue with your chosen Luxio Color or Build service, or use the finish Akzentz recommends for that Base service.
  5. Finish with your top coat: Follow its own directions. For Luxio Gloss, Akzentz specifies 30 seconds in an Akzentz LED light, followed by Prep & Wipe to remove the sticky layer.
  6. Check your lamp: These cure times apply to the Akzentz lamp and product instructions linked here. Another lamp or formula may need a different time, so check the exact instructions before you begin.
  7. Ready for removal? Follow the soak-off or filing directions for your exact product. If you use Soak Off, follow its directions and gently remove only the softened product.

Nudist

Luxio Naked Base is the same formula as Luxio Base, but with the added benefits of a concealing effect in natural looking tones - ideal for use before very sheer colors or hiding imperfections. Luxio Naked Base can also be applied on its own and sealed with Luxio Gloss for a thin and natural-looking service. Naked Base provides the same excellent longevity, excellent adhesion and remains flexible on the nails just like regular Luxio Base.

Luxio® Naked Base can be worn alone and sealed with Luxio® Gloss or used beneath Luxio® Color and Luxio® Build.

Recommended Use

Step 1:
Thoroughly prep the natural nails and apply forms if creating an extension.

Step 2:
Apply Luxio Naked Base using the same method as all Akzéntz base coats - a thin, even layer without touching the cuticles or surrounding tissue.

Step 3:
Cure for 30 seconds in an Akzéntz LED light.

Step 4:
Seal with Luxio® Gloss, or proceed with Luxio Color or Build application. Do not remove the inhibition layer between steps.
