1. Check the gel-and-lamp pairing. Choose a lamp that the gel manufacturer has approved for that exact product. USB power, the lamp’s size or a UV/LED label alone doesn’t confirm compatibility.
2. Apply the gel as directed. Keep it off the skin and use the layer thickness in the gel instructions. Remove any skin contact before curing.
3. Position the nail carefully. Make sure the area being cured receives the light as directed by the gel manufacturer; don’t assume a small beam covers every nail at once.
4. Keep flash curing and full curing separate. A brief hold may keep an enhancement in place when the gel system permits it, but you must still complete that system’s required full cure.
5. Check the result without guessing. A firm surface doesn’t prove a complete cure. If the gel wrinkles, lifts or stays unusually soft, review the lamp pairing, placement and application before continuing.
