1. Identify the enhancement and the result you need. Choose an attachment intended for that material and a technique you’ve been trained to use.
2. Confirm the sanding disk’s fit, grit and operating limits with its own instructions and your handpiece. Check its condition and secure it with the machine stopped.
3. Reduce material with a light, moving touch and inspect your progress often. Don’t keep removing bulk when you need a more controlled finishing step.
4. Protect the natural nail and surrounding skin. Stop for heat, discomfort, catching or vibration, then check the setup and technique.
5. Handle used abrasives according to their reuse or single-use instructions. Follow the maker’s process for reusable parts; don’t assume the disk and holder share the same care method.
