Reflective gold flakes.

Solar Flakes adds reflective gold in visible, light-catching pieces. The flakes create scattered highlights over your chosen base color, giving the design a different rhythm from a continuous chrome surface. Try a few golden accents over a sheer nude, bring them into a dark green set or use them around an abstract detail. The spaces between the flakes let the base color remain part of the composition.

Product details

  • Decorative chrome flakes supplied in a jar.
  • For a burnished chrome-style finish or a scattered flake effect.
  • Apply over a compatible gel surface and seal with a gel top coat.
  • The underlying gel color influences the final effect.
Application
  1. Apply a thin, even layer of BEMI Ultra Shine Top Coat over your cured BEMI gel polish.
  2. Cure for 30–60 seconds in LED or 2 minutes in UV. Do not cleanse.
  3. Using a makeup sponge, brush or silicone tool, gently buff a small amount of Solar Flakes over the cured no-wipe surface for a chrome-style effect.
  4. Gently brush away any excess flakes.
  5. Apply BEMI Ultra Shine Top Coat, fully covering the flakes and sealing the free edge and sides.
  6. Cure for 30–60 seconds in LED or 2 minutes in UV. No cleansing is required after curing.

For a scattered flake effect

Press a small amount of flakes onto the tacky layer of cured gel color, leaving the individual flakes visible. Gently brush away loose flakes, seal with BEMI Ultra Shine, and cure for 30–60 seconds in LED or 2 minutes in UV. No final wipe is needed.
